A web-based SaaS (software as a service) application providing a vendor database to government agencies, streamlining the procurement process.
For 129 years, the Ontario Good Roads Association – now simply “Good Roads” – has been dedicated to improving municipal roads and associated infrastructure in Ontario. Today, Good Roads has 417 municipal members and 18 First Nations members.

Challenge
Given the current need for technology solutions to facilitate the interactions between public agencies and vendors, Good Roads identified the need for a new tool to connect all stakeholders in the infrastructure technical services field.
Solution
Essential Designs developed the Good Roads Technical Services Portal, intended to be an interactive online SaaS that brings together the manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of technical services with the municipal and provincial agencies that use them. Agencies can review and approve technical services with confidence, while vendors and suppliers are offered a single point of access for service review for the purpose of obtaining Agency approvals.
